Come visit the Business of The Year!
In Febuary '07, St. Helens Chamber of Commerce awarded SOS as business of the year for St. Helens & Scappoose.
We have a resale store!
But it's much more than just a place to get used clothing, household supplies, books, and furniture.
*It's a place where our clients can get the things they need to rebuild their lives at extremely reasonable prices.
*It's a place where people can learn important life skills through our Life Skills Program (open to the public!)
*Job Training is currently unavailable.

Donations of funds and goods
We are always appreciative of donations of funds and household goods. These gifts allow us to provide services to the women and children of our community who are affected by domestic and sexual violence. If your donation is household goods, please take it to our Resale store, SOS. They are better equipped to manage this kind of donation than our shelter is. And, of course, all donations are tax deductible. Call for more information. For monetary donations, you can send a check or cash to P.O. Box 22, St. Helens, OR 97051. We will mail a receipt.
IMPORTANT DONATION INFORMATION: *It is very important that donations are brought in the store during regular donation hours and NOT left outside the store. Items left outside are often stolen or ruined.
*Leaving donations after hours is considered "Dumping" and "Dumping" is illegal. So please don't dump your donations.
*When we are unable to use items, we have to haul them away as garbage, which is very expensive. It also requires our volunteers to spend large amounts of time organizing the items.
*If you have a lot of items to donate, PLEASE call and speak with the store manager, Becky, to arrange a time to take them in.
*We regret that we are unable to pick up donations at this time. |
