Columbia County Women’s Resource Center is closing its shelter for cleaning and repairs.
We will be closed from
September 19th, Friday at 5 pm
To
October 6th, Monday at 8 am.
We welcome help from the community members to accomplish this huge task in two weeks. We’re looking for volunteers who can come in for a few hours or a day or two to clean, scrub, paint, repair, mow, weed, prune, etc. We need volunteers to help turn mattresses, make beds, dust & polish and restore our 26-bed shelter to the welcoming safe haven it should be.
In addition to needing helping hands, we also use funds to help us purchase the cleanings supplies, repair and replacement items, such as broken blinds etc.
Also, all the volunteers and the public are invited to visit The Starting Place during an open house on Friday, October 3rd from noon to 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
